Libertas Software Research is a sponsor o Memories Dementia Café. We didnae jist big the website an walk awa. We’re pairt o the Café’s circle o supporters, an we’re glad tae be.

Libertas Software Research biggit this website for the Café an covers the costs that come wi it, sae that nane o that fa’s on the Café’s ain funds:

• The domain name: registered an peyed for bi Libertas
• Website design an build: gien freely, wi nae chairge tae the Café
• Hostin an upkeep: keepit runnin, secure an up tae date bi Libertas
• Ongoin help: if somethin needs chyngin or fixin, jist ask

Oor time an technical expertise are gien freely, sae that the Café can reach the fowk wha need it.

The website’s domain name belangs tae the Café. Libertas jist bocht it on the Café’s behauf. It’s the Café’s address on the internet, an it bides that wey.

Mental health matters tae me, jist as it daes tae iverybody. But it isnae aye aboot the next medical research breakthrough. Whiles it’s simply aboot haein a space whaur cairers an fowk livin wi dementia can relax.

Guid technology should serve the fowk wha need it maist. A calm, clear website can be the first step for a faimily lookin for support, an that’s worth biggin weel.

Whan we spoke wi Simon frae the Café, it wus clear that gettin the word oot tae mair fowk mattered maist. Sae we biggit the page roond the actions an needs o the dementia community. It haes grown as the Café’s committee haes come tae understaun whit the Café needs, an it’ll keep growin.

This isnae a maitter o biggin a website an sayin fareweel. We stairtit sma on purpose, an thegither wi the Café we’re findin its voice.
