For people living with dementia, and the people who care for them
Memories Dementia Café is a relaxed, friendly place to meet people, enjoy some music and take things at your own pace. Come on your own, or bring family, a friend or your carer.
Who it's for
Living with dementia can feel isolating, for the person and for those around them. Our café is a place to feel at ease, share a smile and be among friends.
A friendly, unhurried space to enjoy company, music and a cuppa at your own pace.
Take a seat, share a pot of tea and talk with others who understand what everyday life can be like.
Anyone who wants to support someone with dementia, or simply learn more, is welcome to join us.
What happens
Something warm to drink and a treat to go with it, served at your table.
Familiar songs to sing along to, tap a foot to, or simply sit back and enjoy.
Old photographs, quizzes, crafts and conversation starters that bring good memories to the surface.
Chat with people who understand, or sit quietly. Both are completely fine.
Friendly volunteers can point you towards local support, information and services.
No tests and no timetable to keep up with. Join in as much or as little as you like.
