Led by people living with dementia.
Dementia NI is a Northern Ireland charity led by people who themselves have a diagnosis of dementia. Established in 2015 by five people living with dementia, it works to challenge stigma, strengthen rights and ensure that those affected have a meaningful say in decisions that concern them.
Through its peer-support opportunities, membership activities and advocacy, Dementia NI helps people connect with others who understand their experiences. Members also contribute to awareness campaigns and efforts to improve policy and services.
Dementia NI has helped raise awareness of Memories Dementia Café, including by sharing information through its communications and social media. We value the organisation’s central principle: people living with dementia must be heard, respected and included.
For information about membership and support, telephone 028 9693 1555 or visit Dementia NI’s website.
