Proud sponsors of the Café

Libertas Software Research is a sponsor of Memories Dementia Café. We didn’t just build the website and walk away. We’re part of the Café’s circle of supporters, and we’re glad to be.

What Libertas does for the Café

Libertas Software Research built this website for the Café and covers the costs that come with it, so none of that falls on the Café’s own funds:

  • The domain name: registered and paid for by Libertas
  • Website design and build: given freely, with no charge to the Café
  • Hosting and upkeep: kept running, secure and up to date by Libertas
  • Ongoing help: if something needs changing or fixing, just ask

Our time and technical expertise are given freely, so that the Café can reach the people who need it.

What the Café owns

The website’s domain name belongs to the Café. Libertas simply bought it on the Café’s behalf. It’s the Café’s address on the internet, and it stays that way.

A word from our founder

Mental health matters to me, just as it does to everyone. But it isn’t always about the next medical research breakthrough. Sometimes it’s simply about having a space where carers and people living with dementia can relax.

Adrian Sweeney, CEO & Founder, Libertas Software Research

Why we do it

Good technology should serve the people who need it most. A calm, clear website can be the first step for a family looking for support, and that’s worth building well.

When we spoke with Simon from the Café, it was clear that getting the word out to more people mattered most. So we built the page around the actions and needs of the dementia community. It has grown as the Café’s committee has come to understand what the Café needs, and it will keep growing.

This isn’t a matter of building a website and saying goodbye. We started small on purpose, and together with the Café we’re finding its voice.
